Epilepsy Australia Trivia Challenge

Every year students across Australia compete in the Epilepsy Australia Trivia Challenge.

Epilepsy Australia Trivia Challenge is a fun filled general knowledge classroom event which supports the curriculum while developing co-operative learning skills in small teams.  Students participating in Trivia Challenge also develop a greater awareness of Epilepsy and how to confidently assist a person having a seizure.

One of the great things about Trivia Challenge is that schools from every sector (government, independent and private), from across Tasmania have enjoyed participating in Trivia Challenge while providing valuable support to the Epilepsy Association of Tasmania. 

While this is essentially a fundraising exercise, there are undeniable benefits for the participating students and their schools.  Teams of students from Grades 3 to 6 compete in the State Grand Finals with perpetual trophies for winners and the Year 6 State Grand Final Champions will participate in the National Grand Final.

Epilepsy Australia Trivia Challenge for 2010 is well underway.  The State final will be held in Launceston on Sunday 31st October, with the National final on Wednesday 17th November 2010. In the meantime you can use the Trivia Challenge Registration Form to gather more information, and to also express and interest for 2011.  As new information regarding Trivia Challenge is updated, and dates are refined, we will be able to forward it to you.

All students in Years 3 to 6 are encouraged to participate in Trivia Challenge so please share this great opportunity with all your teachers.
